1.2.1. Sometimes, people follow this diet because they have no choice. They must eat a diabetic diet because they are diabetics.

1.2.2. Sometimes, people are pre-diabetic. They choose to follow a diabetic diet so that they can reduce the chance of diabetes.

1.3. What are the benefits of this diet?

1.3.1. Sometimes, people eat this so they don't become diabetics.

1.3.2. Diabetics eat this so that they can control their blood sugar levels.

1.4. What problems do people have on this diet?

1.4.1. Hard to find food, the meal choices are limited.

1.4.2. Most times, you will have to cook your own food.

2. Lactose Free

2.1. What is this diet about?

2.1.1. Just as the name suggests, this diet is about not eating any lactose.

2.2. Why do people follow this diet?

2.2.1. Most times, people eat a lactose free diet because they can't help it. They are lactose intolerant, meaning that consuming lactose would result in bad things for them and the people around them.

2.3. What are the benefits of this diet?

2.3.1. May help with ear infections, digestions and acne.

2.3.2. In cases of milk, half the calories come from fat, so that is something to be avoided for some people.

2.4. What problems do people have on this diet?

2.4.1. Choices seem limited (cheese, milk, ice cream, etc.).

2.4.2. Foods stripped of a lot of nutrients.

2.4.3. Low in grains, wheat and fibre.

3. Vegetarian

3.1. What is this diet about?

3.1.1. This diet is about eating and incorporating all the nutrients you would need in a diet that contains no meats. There are different types of vegetarians, here I will discuss those who cannot have any meat (fish, pork, poultry, beef, etc) but can have dairy and egg products (milk, eggs) who are called Ovo-Lacto Vegetarians.

3.2. Why do people follow this diet?

3.2.1. To save the environment! Raising meat uses excessive amounts of water.

3.2.2. They care for animals! They don't want to eat them.

3.2.3. Better nutrition, they typically get more fibre and vitamins than non-vegetarians.

3.2.4. Sometimes, religion. Their religion says they can't have meat so they can't have meat.

3.3. What are the benefits of this diet?

3.3.1. Fibre and vitamins come easier.

3.3.2. Meat costs more, so this diet is usually cheaper.

3.4. What problems do people have on this diet?

3.4.1. Occasionally harder to find restaurants.

3.4.2. Difficult to find protein.
