1.1. AMINO ACIDS

1.1.1. Liver synthesises plasma protein&enzymes from amino acids

1.1.2. Excess amino acids cannot be stored in body and broken down through deamination process from urea which is expelled

1.1.3. When the glucose supply is insufficient, the liver converts amino acids into glucose

1.2. GLUCOSE

1.2.1. Glucose in the liver is used for cellular respiration when required by the body and the excess is converted to glycogen and stored in liver

1.2.2. When glucose level in blood decreases, glycogen is converted to glucose

1.2.3. When glycogen supply reach maximum, the excess glucose is converted to fats

2.1. AMINO ACIDS

2.1.1. Used to synthesises new protoplasm and repair damaged tissues

2.1.2. Used to synthesises hormones and enzymes

2.2. GLUCOSE

2.2.1. Oxidised through cellular respiration to release energy, water and carbon dioxide

2.2.2. Excess glucose is kept as glycogen in muscles

2.2.3. Energy is used for cell processes such as protein synthesis

2.3. LIPIDS

2.3.1. Phospolipid and cholestrol are primary component that build plasma membrane

2.3.2. Excess fats kept in adipose tissues found underneath the skin as stored energy

2.3.3. Fat is oxidised to release energy when there is insufficient glucose
